🎤 SPEAKER BIO
Sheba Najmi is a leading figure in the civic design space with a background in UX. She is the founder of Tech for Change, a non-profit organization based in San Diego, that brings together global technologists and governments to create human-centered solutions to public challenges. Tech for Change’s first initiative has been Code for Pakistan, which has helped foster culture change in government and mobilize communities over the last decade. Sheba is also Adjunct Professor of Product Design at San Diego City College.

James Vinh (moderator) is the former President of San Diego Experience Design Professionals Network (SDXD) and currently serves as a board member. He’s passionate about cultivating a vibrant local design community and has a background in UX.

🚗 VENUE
Nissan Design America (NDA) began as Nissan Design International in 1979 in San Diego, established as a satellite studio for Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Its original mission was to provide a local perspective on the North American market and generate innovative ideas and design. After 40 years in operation, NDA is now a full-production automotive design studio capable of handling all phases of automotive design development, from exploratory to production. NDA also has had design support operations in Silicon Valley (California, U.S.) since 2013.
